Education and Courses

Our goal at the club is to help you grow as a marksman, and our fully qualified multilingual instructors will work to see this goal attained to your satisfaction. As part of our strong commitment to firearms education and safety, a number of specially designed courses and classes have been created to help shooters improve their skills or to learn new ones. The courses are only available to Kaslik Gun Club members.

Practical Handgun

This comprehensive course is designed specifically for those who wish to learn how to use a handgun in a practical manner. Along with improving your marksmanship, topics covered include legal aspects of ownership, familiarization with different types of pistols, safety, stance, grip, sight alignment, trigger control, shot placement, and holster choice. In addition to this, other subjects that are covered include draw, reloads, as well as strong and weak hand shooting, and how to deal with malfunctions.

This course will enable you to receive a handgun qualification certificate if the required standard is achieved.  Those who wish to receive a certificate must pass a 50 round qualification course of fire. The qualification test can be taken as soon as the shooter feels he is ready anytime after taking the course.

Advanced Handgun

The course is designed for those who wish to increase their level of skill and is a perfect follow up to the course above. The focus of this course is on reactive shooting and engaging multiple targets at various distance at speed. Other topics include shooting from cover, and situational awareness.

Those who wish to receive an Advanced Handgun qualification certificate must pass a 100 round qualification course of fire.

Dynamic Handgun

Dynamic shooting is all about shooting while on the move with speed and precision. Those who wish to receive an Dynamic Handgun qualification certificate must pass a 100 round qualification course of fire.

IPSC

The course is intended for individuals interested in practicing shooting as amateurs, for recreational purposes, or professionally within the context of IPSC (International Practical Shooting Confederation). It serves as one of the fundamental courses for those looking to progress and master safe weapon handling. In addition, this course is mandatory for individuals seeking a license to become a sport shooter and participate in competitions.

Successful completion of the course will enable you to obtain your IPSC license and membership card.

Special training courses are available to our military and security forces at no cost.
